Archived: One-Stop Shop Brings Convenience to Botany

Minister for Finance, Services and Property Dominic Perrottet today officially opened the Service NSW one-stop shop in Botany, commending the centre’s staff on having already served more than 40,000 customers since doors opened in June.

“Service NSW has revolutionised customer service when it comes to transacting with government in NSW,” Mr Perrottet said.  “The days of having to visit multiple locations for different government services are gone.  Now customers can access more than 800 transactions and services here at Botany, all under one roof.”

In addition to motor registry services, the one-stop-shop provides counter services from agencies such as Fair Trading, Births Deaths and Marriages, Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing, Office of State Revenue and much more.

The Botany site was selected by Service NSW after considering key criteria, including the area’s population and future needs, site accessibility, parking capacity, and suitability for delivering a wide range of services.  Locals in and around the area can also access services at the new Service NSW Digital Store in Bondi Junction and the nearby Marrickville Service Centre.

Located at 5 Lord Street, Botany, the Botany service centre is open 7am to 7pm weekdays and 8.30am to 3pm on Saturdays.  Customers can even access live waiting-time information on the Service NSW website, to help plan ahead and save time.

“With extended service centre trading hours, 24/7 services through the website, app and phone contact centre, and live waiting-time tracking, the NSW Government is delivering government service as it should be in the 21st Century,” Mr Perrottet said.

Mr Perrottet also introduced the Botany centre’s manager Christopher Tandy, who has worked at Roads and Maritime Services for 10 years and has been with Service NSW for the past two years.

“Christopher and the team bring with them a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication to customer service, and I wish them all the very best as they serve the local community,” Mr Perrottet said.
