Treasurer Dominic Perrottet today announced the NSW Budget for 2019-20 will be handed down on Tuesday, 18 June.
Mr Perrottet said he looked forward to delivering his third Budget as NSW Treasurer, and the first since the NSW Liberals & Nationals secured a historic third term at the recent State election.
“It is a huge privilege and responsibility to deliver a Budget and this year we will be funding the Government’s election commitments and continuing to ensure we plan for the future and deliver for NSW communities and families,” Mr Perrottet said.
“We will continue to build on the record $89.7 billion in infrastructure including critical projects such as the Sydney Metro Northwest, more than 190 new and upgraded schools, and more than 100 new and upgraded hospitals and health facilities. “We have also introduced a range of new cost of living measures such as doubling the hugely popular Active Kids voucher and expanding our Toll Relief rego rebate.
“The Government’s strong financial management has resulted in NSW being ranked as the leading economy in the nation with the lowest unemployment.
“On June 18 we will deliver a Budget that continues to get the job done, positions the State to meet the economic challenges we face, creates opportunity and builds a better future for everyone in NSW no matter where they live.”
