Minister for Finance, Services and Property Dominic Perrottet today welcomed the expansion of service excellence in Sydney’s west, officially opening the new Auburn Service NSW Centre, and the dedicated Driver Test Centre in Silverwater.
Mr Perrottet said the Auburn and Silverwater facilities exemplified the game-changing customer service the people of NSW can now expect from government.
“The NSW Government has made no secret of its commitment to deliver better services to the people of NSW, and week after week we are delivering on that commitment with the rollout of new Service NSW sites,” he said.
The Auburn Service NSW Centre – located at 100 Parramatta Rd, and open 7am to 7pm weekdays and 8:30am to 3pm on Saturdays – offers more than 850 transactions from 40 government agencies, including Roads and Maritime Service, Fair Trading, Births Deaths and Marriages, Family and Community Services and Transport for NSW.
The Auburn facility will also soon launch a dedicated Dealer Business Centre, offering motor dealers an exclusive service point to conduct bulk transactions, including vehicle and heavy vehicle registrations, issuing of Trader plates and boat registrations.
Meanwhile driving candidates in the west can take advantage of the Silverwater Driver Test Centre, the largest driver testing hub in NSW. Located at 1-15 River Street, the Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, and has capacity to conduct more than 500 tests each week.
The specialist Driver Test Centre and Dealer Business Centre are designed to complement Service NSW’s network of one-stop-shops, offering a streamlined, dedicated service for people and businesses seeking specific, high-demand services.
Ethan Lombardelli is the manager of both centres, and Mr Perrottet congratulated Mr Lombardelli and the Silverwater and Auburn teams on their work.
“Whether you’re a car dealer on Parramatta Rd, a senior citizen applying for a Seniors Card, a renovator looking for an owner-builder permit, or an L-plater booking a driving test, Ethan and the team are here to help, and I wish them all the best in the important service they are delivering here in Auburn and Silverwater,” Mr Perrottet said.
