NSW is the best place in Australia to do business, with the latest NAB Business Survey showing NSW business conditions above the national average for 29 straight months.
The findings, released today as part of the NAB Monthly Business Survey for April 2017, showed that NSW has the strongest business conditions of any state.
NAB’s business conditions index measures the hiring intentions, profitability, and sales activity of businesses.
The business conditions index for NSW is almost four times higher than its long-term average in April.
Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said the findings confirmed NSW’s proven track record as the best place for businesses to thrive.
“These results show yet again that if you’re a business looking to grow and looking to employ more people, NSW is the place to be,” Mr Perrottet said.
“Since coming into office, this Government has taken an economic mess and turned it into unrivalled economic success.”
“We have $73 billion of investment in improving and building new infrastructure, whilst at the same time cutting red tape and helping businesses flourish, and this is reflected in today’s results.”
